It makes it easier so you can let go of it while you fiddle with permanent fasteners.  Second, I never use the Tortoise supplied wire throwbar - go get 3&amp;#39; long wire preferrably of a bit larger diamater, bend the end to fit into the Tortoise, but leave the rest of the wire intact VERY long (even all 3&amp;#39;). This makes it easy to get under the benchwork, slip the wire through the actuating hole while being able to LOOK at it, and then slide the Tortoise up until you&amp;#39;re at the bottom of the benchwork.  Snip off the excess once you have the Tortoise all screwed down, and then put it on another one. My understanding is that there is a goal to make the Maxwell drawings available again, but haven&amp;#39;t heard when or how.&lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;The RGS Story volumes (I&amp;#39;ve got listings for all of them on my website - rgsrr.info) have a number of the Maxwell drawings in them, but to a weird scale and somewhat incomplete (they&amp;#39;re just for illustration, rather than building from).  But they might be a start.
